Dogbox is a simple file sharing service. We only collect the data needed to store and serve your files reliably and to keep the platform secure.

• Uploaded files: the file you send, plus basic metadata such as original filename, size, and MIME type.
• Operational logs: request time, IP address, and status codes to prevent abuse and debug issues.
• Preferences: a cookie for light/dark theme (dogbox_theme). No analytics or tracking cookies.

• Store your file and make it available via a shareable link.
• Run rate‑limiting and queueing to protect the service from overload.
• Troubleshoot errors and maintain security.

Files are stored either on our server’s disk or in an S3‑compatible object store, depending on configuration. We keep minimal metadata alongside the file. Retention may be limited by storage capacity or policy; files may be removed if they violate terms or consume excessive resources.

We do not sell your data. Files may be processed by storage providers (e.g., S3) solely to store and serve content. Access logs may be reviewed to investigate abuse.

We use one cookie to remember your theme selection. No cross‑site tracking, ad tech, or analytics is used.

We use basic safeguards (rate limiting, request queueing, and standard server hardening). While we take care to protect the service, no system is perfect. Please avoid uploading sensitive data.

• Delete links or request removal via the admin panel (if enabled) or by contacting us.
• Clear your browser cookie to remove the theme preference.
